About this tea:

The tea buds and tea leaves of this products all picked by hands of the tea farmers, each stout and tender bud has all undergone several rounds of carefully selected trials, the gentle sweetness of the tea buds is perfectly combined with the fragrance of the jasmine flowers.

Jasmine Silver Needle is a green tea that has been fumigated with jasmine flowers. Jasmine blossoms are gathered during midsummer evenings and spread amongst tea leaves over several successive nights. Because dried tea leaves are hygroscopic, they readily absorb floral essences like jasmine.

Fresh green tea is laid flat and covered with jasmine flowers, which release their scent during the night. Eight hours later, the flowers are replaced with new flowers, and the tea is aromatized again. It lasts eight hours for each scenting, and the tea farmers have to renovate the tea leaves for every four hours, they usually set up a specific alarm to wake them up even during the midnight time. Its enchanting, unforgettable aroma is created through this artisanal method of tea scenting that dates back more than 800 years.

This process continues until the tea is scented four times and the jasmine scent inundates the tea. Unlike most jasmine teas sold in the West, which use scented oil to create jasmine scent, the jasmine aroma from this tea will not wash off after the first steep. Instead, it works its way into the tea flavor, lasting throughout the tea session.

After brewing, the velvety white tea leaves float or sink, and mingle with the hot fragrant tea steam, this tea can always satisfy your enjoying feelings by its unforgettable aroma smelling and graceful tasting

Traditional Tea Preparation:

Add 5g to a gaiwan or gongfu teapot (per 150ml).

Use 212°F water.

rinse  this tea using the first infusion

Infuse 1st brew for 5 seconds and decant.

Infuse 2nd brew for 5-8 seconds.

Repeat several times, brewing until the flavor and aroma of the tea dissipates. As the tea leaves expand and unfurl, increase the infusion time to coax out more of the flavor and aroma.
