There is even an interesting story between the luxury Brand Chanel with this tea. In 2016, it launched Chanel No. 10 Lotion based on “Silver Needle White Tea”, which contains antioxidant ingredients extracted from Silver Needle White Tea. Chanel introduced the skin care ingredients as follows: “The core ingredient of the formula is Silver Needle White Tea with triple effects, a rare and precious variety of white tea that can effectively relieve discomfort and strengthen the skin by strengthening the skin barrier.” The flavonoid content in a cup of Silver Needle White Tea is equivalent to 12 cups of orange juice, and its antioxidant effect is 18 times higher than that of vitamin E.

We chose FuDing Silver Needles for its sublime sweetness and the unique traditional processing method here. This batch of Silver Needles has a deep flavor formed by the big bud FuDing cultivars grown in the rich soils of FuDing, FuJian. These high elevation gardens flush a bit later in the springtime due to the cooler conditions in the mountains and produce slow growing and concentrated tea buds that glisten with a frosted appearance, nectar sweetness and noble character. This batch of Silver Needles white tea is comprised of pure, individually plucked tea buds harvested exclusively for ten days in the early springtime. This tea’s inherently sweet, nectar-like flavor and fruity aroma is beloved by tea connoisseurs.

Traditional Tea Preparation:
Water temperature:95-100℃/203-212℉

Gaiwan(120ml):3-5 seconds

Teapot(250ml):Not Recommend

Number of steeps per time:10-15 steeps in 120ml Gaiwan

Repeat several times, brewing until the flavor and aroma of the tea dissipates. As the tea leaves expand and unfurl, increase the infusion time to coax out more of the flavor and aroma.

I hadn’t really experienced pure white teas before this one. I’d had those fruity, overly-sweet bottled white teas from Lipton, but I didn’t have a sense of what white tea tasted like by itself. As you can see by the five stars, I was impressed. I loved the delicate, almost floral aroma and flavor. You can tell it’s the same plant as green tea, but it lacks the leafy, spinachy bitterness that green tea can have (especially green tea that’s been steeped too long). This is the tea I find myself craving at random times throughout the day. I think that this particular Bai Hao Yinzhen silver needle tea will be a staple of my pantry for the foreseeable future.

Sweet light and very refreshing! You’re going to love it.It’s has a light floral, sweet vanilla taste that lingers, I love it.3rd steep is probably my favorite!

I am a foodie and artist, appreciating well made food with great flavor, drinks as well, and timeless art. Regarding this tea, I was surprised at the long lasting light flavor and gorgeous color. It is my first time trying White Tea.

Buds are consistently straight and unbroken, covered with abundant silver downy fur. The dried tea has a consistent color and emits a sweet grassy scent with notes of bread and nuts, bringing to mind the experience of eating breakfast on a spring morning, after a light rainfall. The tea liquor is a light honey color, clear with a subtle floral fragrance. The wet leaves have a perfume of cream, pastries, and honeysuckle. The flavour finishes with a gentle mineral note that’s preceded by soy milk, cucumber, biscuit, and apricot. Successive infusions move from grassy to floral flavours and can be manipulated with infusion time to be stronger or more nuanced. Cooled infusions taste more fruity. The lingering flavor is honey-like, refreshing and bright, relaxing yet invigorating. This is a good tea for those who find green teas to be too vegetal or who like the floral notes of oolongs, while wanting to experiment with the savoury and sweet flavours found in white teas.

If you have never tried White Tea before this is a great starting place. Should you enjoy teas such as Jasmine Pearls or Dragon Well, you should certainly try this out. A light tea with floral and less-grassy flavors than one would get with green tea. A really fantastic price. This is certainly not top-shelf white tea but is great to have on hand when you’re not going for the good stuff. It is highly recommended that you have a solid-bodied air-tight container to put this tea inside of when it arrives. We tend to use a little more tea and a little less time than the bag calls for but we like to get at least two or three steeps from the leaves. Tea benefits from a tea-bath before brewing for best flavor extraction; but tea dust has thus-far with this product not been an issue for us.
